Will you mentor the next generation of African Feminist Leaders?

Akina Mama wa Afrika (AMwA) is actively searching for African feminists who are willing to share their invaluable leadership experiences to inspire and guide young, dynamic women. These mentors will play a vital role in advancing our mission of shaping a feminist future, particularly within the context of global climate and economic justice conversations. The Mentorship Programme will facilitate the personal and professional growth of our alumni while fostering a community of empowered young women actively driving social change and transforming their communities.

AMwA has for over 27 years been at the forefront of nurturing feminist and transformational leadership among young women through its flagship program, the African Women’s Leadership Institute (AWLI). This program offers a holistic exploration of society and delves into the complex interplay of power dynamics and systems of oppression, seeking to unveil new possibilities as these intricacies unfold. Ultimately, this fellowship serves as a catalyst for envisioning alternative futures deeply rooted in African histories, cultures, and perspectives.

Join us in this exciting endeavor and become a mentor, helping to craft a future where feminist leadership flourishes, and young women lead the way in creating positive change on both local and global scales.
