UFF 2019 was held from the 30th July to 1st August 2019 in Jinja under the theme “Silencing our Fears and Fearing our Silences”. It was convened in the spirit of encouraging critical inquiry, collective reflection, healing and a rekindled commitment to dismantling patriarchy through a politicisation of Silence.
This report highlights the ways that 100 African Feminists came together, in song and dance, through ancient and contemporary practices, to silence the many fears that have crippled us from advancing the feminist agenda.
