This Uganda Baseline Study was commissioned by AMwA with support from Comic Relief and is part of the Tuwezeshe Dada project’s overall Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) strategy to measure progress and impact from its baseline through to its end line. The aim of the baseline study was to generate qualitative and quantitative data, indicators, and country specific information on the general prevalence of violence against women at institutions of higher learning in Uganda. It sought to locate young women’s rights within a legal and policy context while highlighting the opportunities and barriers young women leadership initiatives face.
