Expertise: Climate Activist
Nisreen Elsaim is an environmental and climate activist and junior negotiator at intergovernmental climate change platforms with experience across a range of environmental topics. She was part of the social movement that brought about democratic change in Sudan and is the current Chair of the UN Secretary General Youth advisory group on Climate Change launched in 2020 by the Secretary General of the UN to amplify youth voices and engage young people in an open and transparent dialogue as the UN gears up to raise ambition and accelerate action to tackle the climate emergency.

Ms. Elsaim is the Chair of Sudan Youth Organization on Climate Change (SYOCC) which is a youth-led organization. Regional and international platforms Nisreen Led and mentored a large number of young people within YOUNGO, PACJA, Abu Dhabi youth Voices.
Nisreen is also a junior negotiator with the African Group of Negotiators in technology transfer. Focusing on the policies of countries regarding climate change and renewable energies. She has written several policy papers in climate change, renewable energy, gender and youth.
